Graduating from university with a degree does not automatically mean that a young adult can have a sparkling job prospect and live a satisfactory life. As a matter of fact, there are many challenges awaiting university graduates.

Despite having studied in a university for three or four years, a graduate lacks work experience and expertise that can only be acquired through working for years. This will lead to young people’s inability to compete against others in the workplace and a sense of frustration.

Moreover, as the living cost has been rising in most countries, many young people are faced with tremendous financial pressure due to low salaries and lack of savings. For example, even university graduates of prestigious universities in China can hardly afford the rent of a flat near the city center.

Overall, although receiving tertiary education equips young people with the knowledge and skills for a successful career, they are still likely to encounter difficulties in landing a decent job or living a quality life.

Deciding to receive continuous study in a foreign country indeed makes individuals feel excited since it is a chance for one to start from scratch, but it also brings great challenges that one will not be able to avoid once stepping foot on a foreign land of opportunities.

Firstly, language barriers is probably the biggest challenge. When an individual starts a new life in a foreign country, he or she has to deal with plenty of chores by talking with local people who have strong accent and use slang phrases, which will cause the difficulty in understanding.

Moreover, coping with cultural misunderstandings is not always easy for overseas students. For example, dressing up for a decent meal is a must in western countries but is not very common in China. Because Chinese students seldom attend formal parties during high school, they cannot realize the importance of dressing code for a party.

Overall, before studying abroad, students need to realize what challenges they will encounter and then make early preparations.

As major cities around the world are growing fast, many problems occur, which means it can be a big challenge for people to live there.

The life can be unhealthier and more stressful in many of the big cities. This is because air pollution is more serious due to exhaust fumes from automobiles, and the pace of life is significantly faster.

Moreover, the cost of living is typically higher in big cities than it is in a small town or village. For example, inhabitants have to pay higher prices for a reasonably comfortable room. It can cost them an arm and a leg for a small apartment in a decent area.
