高考翻译成英语（高考状元）

又逢一年高考时，由于疫情，今年的高考比往常推迟了一个月。

01 高考”英语怎么说？

我们都知道，“高中”的英文是 high school，那“高考”难道是 high exam？

大家可能会想到“高中考试”，然后就很自然地把“高考”翻译成了“high school test”，其实这也是很不正确地说法。

大家可千万别这样直译，高考其实就是进入大学的考试，英文就是：

✅National College Entrance Examination

✅college/university entrance examination

还可以这样说：

✅college entrance examination system 高考制度

※注：每个单词一般都不大写，除非在句首，其中的college说成university也可以。

另外，高考的拼音 Gaokao 已经被收录至最新版牛津词典了哦~所以用 Gaokao 来表达高考，是完全可以的哦。

例句：The national university entrance examination is held annually in People’s Republic of China.

中国每年都会有一次高考。

如果想出国上大学的小伙伴应该知道 ACT 与 SAT 考试，都被认为是“美国高考”。

ACT 全称：American College Test

SAT 全称：Scholastic Assessment Test

02 “文理科”的英文表达

高考考什么，取决于你在高中选择的学习方向。大部分的学生在去到高二的时候，需要选择文理科。

文科 liberal arts

理科 science

也有另外的分类方法：

文科 social science（社科）

理科 natural science（自然科学）

现在还流行这么说理科：

STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) 理科（科学、科技、工程、数学）

※注：表示“文科”时，要用 arts（复数），表示“艺术”时，用 art（单数），

除此之外还可以这么区分：

liberal arts 人文通识学科：主要用在美国，含义与 arts 基本一致。

fine arts： 绘画、设计、音乐、戏剧等艺术专业。
