Brief Introduction to Dongying Vocational College of Science and Technology

东营科技职业学院成立于1985年，是经山东省人民政府批复，教育部备案的一所办学实力雄厚、特色鲜明的全日制普通高等职业院校。

Founded in the year of 1985, administratively approved by Government of Shandong Province and filed on record in Ministry of Education, Dongying Vocational College of Science and Technology is a full-time regular vocational institution of higher education with enormous educational potentialities and distinctive characteristics.

学院坐落于黄河入海口的山东省东营市，区位优势明显。东营处于连接京津冀与胶东半岛的枢纽位置，拥有丰富的石油、天然气资源和全国最完整、最广阔、最年轻的湿地生态系统，是中国东部沿海后备土地资源最多、开发潜力最大的地区，打造形成了石油化工及盐化工、橡胶轮胎及汽车配件、有色金属、石油装备等四大产业集群，是黄河三角洲高效生态经济区和山东半岛蓝色经济区两大国家战略交汇的中心城市。东营市确定“十三五”期间打造成为全国重要的高效生态经济示范区、资源型城市可持续发展引领区、区域中心城市，构建以先进制造业为支柱、战略性新兴产业为引领、现代服务业为主导的现代产业体系，打造全国领先、世界有影响力的先进制造业基地和区域性服务中心。

Situated in Yellow River Mouth, Dongying City, Shandong Province, the College is at a competitive advantage in terms of location advantages. Located at the hub position connecting Jingjinji (short for Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province) with Jiaodong Peninsula, Dongying City, which is possessed of rich deposits of petroleum and natural gas and the most integral, the vastest and the most rejuvenated wetland ecosystem, is an area with the largest reserve land resources and the largest potentialities of development in eastern coastal areas of China, creating four massive industry clusters of petrochemical engineering and salt chemical engineering, rubber tyres and auto accessories, nonferrous metals and petroleum equipment and Dongying City is a central city which is located in the superimposed area of two state-level strategies, namely the Yellow River Delta Efficient Ecological Economic Zone and Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone. It has been officially determined that Dongying will constructed into an important nation-wide efficient eco-economic demonstration area, pioneering area of sustainable development for resource-based cites and regional hub city, establishing a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing industry as pillars, strategic emerging industries as pace-makers and modern service industries as leading factors, and creating a nationally-leading and internationally-influential base of advanced manufacturing industries and regional serving center.



学院办学条件优越。学院现有两个校区，老校区占地近600亩，建筑面积14万平方米，容纳在校生6000余人；新校区正在建设中，占地1300余亩，投资13.5亿元，建筑面积25.7万平方米，容纳全日制在校生10000余人，各类培训每年5000人次以上。新校区高点定位，建成后将成为一所功能齐全、设施先进、环境优雅，集教育教学、生产实训、科研孵化、社会培训于一体的现代化高等职业院校。

The College possesses outstanding school-running conditions with two campuses. The current campus covers an area of nearly 600 Mu (400,000㎡) with a gross floor area (GFA) of 140,000㎡ and it has a capacity of over 6,000 full-time students. The new campus, which is under construction with an investment of 1,350,000,000 Yuan (RMB), covers an area of over 1,300 Mu (867,100㎡) with a gross floor area (GFA) of 257,000㎡. It has a capacity of over 10,000 full-time students and can provide various kinds of trainings of over 5,000 times per year. With a high-end design the new campus will be built into a modern vocational institution of higher education with multiple functions, advanced facilities and graceful environment, known as a multifunctional combination of education and teaching, production and skill training, research and incubation and social trainings.

学院密切对接区域产业发展，围绕学生职业能力提升，设有机电工程系、能源工程系、会计系、工商管理系、汽车工程系、建筑工程系6个系，开设机电一体化技术、空中乘务等25个专业。现建有全国化工优秀教学团队1个、省级精品资源共享课程5门、校级精品资源共享课程5门，获得国家级大学生技能大赛团体一等奖2项、省级大学生技能大赛团体和个人一等奖9项，获准了全国机械行业、化工行业职业技能鉴定点资格，获得国家发明专利7项。培养了各类技术技能型人才5万余名，毕业生就业率一直保持在98%以上，为区域经济社会发展做出了积极贡献。

Synchronizing with regional industrial development and concentrating on students’ vocational competence improvement, the College establishes six departments, which feature mechanical and electrical engineering, energy and power engineering, accounting, business administration, automobile engineering and construction engineering, and offers 25 specialties, for instance, electromechanical technology and cabin attendant. It possesses 1 national outstanding teaching group of chemical engineering, 5 provincial shared curriculums of superior resources and 5 college-based shared curriculums of superior resources. It has obtained the following achievements: 2 first prizes of National Students’ Skill Competition (Group Award), 9 first prizes of Provincial Students’ Skill Competition (Group & Individual Award), the qualification for Occupation Skill Appraisal (OSA) Office of national mechanical industry and chemical industry and 7 national invention patents. The College has cultivated more than 50,000 skill-oriented and talented trainees and it has been retaining a high employment rate for graduates of over 98%, which has made positive contributions to the development of regional economical society.

学院以立德树人为根本任务，创新育人模式，不断深化教学改革，大力推进创新创业、专业、课程、实训条件、校企合作等建设。启动了基于能力本位的项目化教学改革，全面提升了教师的实践授课和学生的动手操作能力，凸显了学生的学习主体地位。全国青年彩虹工程创新创业学院在学院启动，与共青团中央联合成立了青年创新创业孵化基地，打造形成了创新创业教育品牌。加强专业和课程建设，建有实训中心，各专业配置了先进的实验实训设备，实训设备总值达6000余万元。充分发挥信息技术的作用，已开发网上课程20余门，逐步形成了线上和线下相结合的课程体系。学院与海尔集团、华泰集团、华星集团、正和集团、福田汽车等60余家大型企业集团在教材建设、课程改革、师资培养、实习就业等领域进行深入合作，形成了订单式、冠名班、现代学徒制等工学结合人才培养模式，形成了全面综合发展的育人格局。

With moral cultivation and talent nurture as fundamental tasks, the College has been constantly innovating education modes, deepening teaching reforms and vigorously promoting developments of innovation and enterprise, specialties, curriculums, training conditions, school-enterprise cooperation and so forth. It has initiated reforms of competence-based project instruction, comprehensively promoting the competence of teachers’ practical teaching and students’ practical operation and highlighting the students’ subject positions in learning. With the initiation of Innovation and Enterprise Institute of National Youth Rainbow Project in the College, the College has jointly established incubation bases of innovation and enterprise for the youth with the Central Committee of the Communist Young League, creating the education brand of innovation and enterprise. It has intensified the construction of specialties and curriculums, possessing a practical training center and providing each specialty with advanced experimental and training equipment, the total value of which has exceeded 60,000,000 Yuan (RMB). Having made information technology work at full capacity, the College has developed over 20 online curriculums and gradually established online-and–offline curriculum systems. It has intensively cooperated with more than 60 large-scale enterprise groups, for instance, Haier Group, Huatai Group, Huaxing Group, Zhenghe Group and Foton, on teaching materials, curriculum reforms, faculty training, on-field practice and employment, forming the study-employment mode of talent cultivation featuring talent customization, class of title sponsorship and modern apprenticeship and forming the pattern of talent cultivation featuring all-round and comprehensive development.

Insisting on open-door mode of education, the College has intensified international communication and cooperation. Having executed cooperation with colleges and universities of foreign countries such as Korea, the College has established exchange mechanism and developed cooperative cultivation and exchanges of research and studies for excellent teachers and students.

学校坚持开放办学，加强国际交流与合作。与韩国等高校进行合作，建立了交流机制，举办了合作培养和优秀师生交流研修。

Insisting on open-door mode of education, the College has intensified international communication and cooperation. Having executed cooperation with colleges and universities of foreign countries such as Korea, the College has established exchange mechanism and developed cooperative cultivation and exchanges of research and studies for excellent teachers and students.

In accordance with a scientific orientation and long-range plan, the College will take the construction of new campus and the establishment of university as golden opportunities, make arduous efforts to be a nationally advanced and distinctive vocational institution of higher education with leading education concepts and modern system and management, which aims to cultivate skill-oriented and application-oriented talents of innovation and enterprise and to promote the development of economic society, and eventually accomplish a new substantial development.
