英语案例分析怎么写（IELTS）

在上一篇关于如何写雅思英语小作文开头段的文章中：IELTS Writing - 雅思英语小作文开头段写作案例分析（一）Table，我们分析了如何写表格题的开头。

今天我们继续使用同样的方法，来分析一篇雅思柱状图小作文开头段落如何写。

WRITING TASK 1

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

下面是该柱状图（bar chart）作文开头段的写作分析：

STEP 1: 根据下列句型改写题干

The chart below: The bar chart

shows: compares

the total number of: the amount of

于是，改写后开头段的前半部分为： The bar chart compares the amount of

STEP 2：寻找置于the amount of 后面的“核心名词”

在柱状图中，数据都是描述时间，因此我把“核心名词”确定为“time"。

STEP 3: 为核心名词time添加修饰语

题干中与time有关的词汇或短语有：

minutes of telephone calls

in the UK

divided into three categories

from 1995-2002

我们可以直接修改上述短语，用于修饰time：

minutes of telephone calls: time spent by people on phone call

in the UK: in Britain

divided into three categories: three different types

from 1995-2002: between 1995 and 2002

STEP 4: 将上述信息写成一句话

本篇小作文的开头段最终撰写如下：

The bar chart compares the amount of time spent by people in Britain on three different types of phone call between 1995 and 2002.

大家有没有注意到：时间修饰语一般都是“放在最后的”。

补充说明

大家要学会使用过去分词和现在分词为核心名词添加修饰语。

在使用现在分词（doing）和过去分词（done）为核心名词添加修饰语时，大家只需要记住以下要点即可：

如果分词与核心名词之间构成主动关系，则使用现在分词doing，置于核心名词之后

如果分词与核心名词之间构成被动关系，则使用过去分词done，置于核心名词之后

举例分析：

time与spend之间的关系是“时间被花出去”，因此是被动关系。所以在使用spend的分词修饰time 时，我们使用其过去分词形式，置于time 之后：time (spent by people)

people与spend之间的关系是“人们花时间去打电话”，因此是主动关系。所以在用spend的分词修饰people时，我们使用其现在分词形式，置于people之后：people (spending their time on cellphone calls)
