我们学校的英语角

There is a big English corner at our school, at which many students practice spoken English.

我们学校有一个很大的英语角，许多学生在那里练习英语口语。

I am one of them.

我就是其中之一。

Last weekend, Xiaoyu and I went to the English Corner.

上周末，我和小玉去了英语角。

A moment later, a student came here.

过了一会儿，一个学生来到这里。

We began to talk in English.

我们开始用英语交谈。

By talking, I got to know that he had studied English for a long time.

通过交谈，我了解到他学英语已经很长时间了。

He spoke English so fluently that I couldn’t believe he was a student at our school.

他英语说得如此流利，以至于我不敢相信他是我们学校的学生。

Sometimes I couldn’t answer in time in the conversation because my listening was poor.

有时我在谈话中不能及时回答，因为我的听力很差。

I felt a pang of shame.

我感到一阵羞愧。

After that practice, I made my mind to study English harder and practice spoken English with all my effort.
